Inside A Designer’s Home | JPID Studio

Join us – as we invite you into the home of Janet Patterson, founder of JPID, where she lives with her husband and furbaby, Penelope. The high-rise condo recently went through a Pandemic-Inspired design renovation, bringing in a monochromatic neutral color palette, with edgy pops of black throughout . Additionally, they implemented cozy layers with weaved pillows, textured rugs and wallcoverings.

The goal was to recreate a comfortable, multi-functional space in this new era of #WFH.

VIEWS

The living room overlooks downtown Miami, which provides a gorgeous backdrop to the neutral tones of the interior. The Stature petite accent chair provides a sculptural element, as does the iconic Herman Miller Noguchi coffee table – bringing the entire look together seamlessly. Energizing crystals & hand-carved decorative objects of native alabaster add an earthy yet modern element to the room.

SOPHISTICATED BEDROOM

The master was updated with a custom wrap-around mirror detail on the headboard wall, the bronze tone of the mirror adds depth and coziness to the room. The bed is flanked by two custom nightstands and minimal Layla ring pendants floating above, bringing in a layer of sophistication. His & hers bedside crystals equalize the room with a sense of peace and positive energy.

Breakfast Nook

The breakfast nook got a grand refresh as it was now converted into a hybrid seating area suitable for dining, entertaining, and work meetings. The sun-filled room features a crescent-shaped sofa in a Navy velvet performance fabric, accented by two Hans Wegner Wishbone chairs, offering a classic look to the otherwise modern space.

Guest Bedroom

The guest bedroom was transformed into a fully-functional office space with added custom features to maximize the space. An edgy gender-neutral color palette was chosen for this room, now that it would become a shared office space. Custom built-ins were designed to maximize storage, keeping in line with the minimalist look. The dark black oak finish throughout is accented with an oversized sculptural mobile chandelier & custom-fit carpet tiles in a fun animal print were added to create a layer of texture & color to the space.

Powder Room

The powder room brings an element of surprise, weaving in multi-cultural accents against a stark black natural grasscloth wallcovering. This layered contrast creates depth and drama – the room is highlighted with a single hanging Mina led crystal pendant light hanging above the sink.
